FRUITAGE
(Gleaned from Chaplain and Worker reports)

These are just some examples of the work carried out by our chaplains and institutional workers.  Contact the State Committee for the local committee in your area, where you can hear similar fruitage at their meetings.

“I had copies of an article from the (Christian Science) Sentinel, What is your name tag?  (It is) the image and likeness of God.  Jacob found this out, and, that he was: a prince, a son of God, the Our Father in Lord’s Prayer; and seeing God face to face, Esau had to be loving, like God.  I told them they were princes too.  That was their God given dominion.  The young prince Solomon became king and was told his name or nature included wisdom and understanding, which would lead to a prosperous life.  The prodigal son came to himself.  The older brother, who had always been with the father, was told he included all the father had. Jesus said be ye perfect as your Father.  The Spirit beareth witness that ye are the sons of God.”

“Three boys came and I gave them all a (Christian Science) Monitor article Happiness Finding the Missing Link  Happiness (is) not found in material things, but found in kingdom of God, which is within you, a way of thinking, pure thinking, keeping the law.”

“(I) Explained God as a shepherd rejoicing in finding the lost sheep; Love as a shepherd leading to still waters.”

“I explained how many religions had symbols of washing, Hindu, Moslem, Christian, and Jews had Yom Kipper at this time of year, of inspecting one’s life and asking forgiveness.  (I) gave them copies of (Christian Science) Monitor article, Return to God Moment by Moment.”

“Because the lesson was so focused on the Sermon on the Mount, I spent much time with them reading those passages from the Bible and talking about the demands of the practice of love that Jesus was teaching, the qualities of thought required, the laws of blessing that we are included in, when we obey his instructions … And because they are children of light and of the day, then they aren’t slaves to, or victims of any dark thoughts or acts.”
“The activity of the Christ was and is so felt in this work.  It is a blessing to me to serve and witness this activity.”
