Institutional Religion
An Inter-Faith group (includes Christian Science) dedicated to "serving
as liaison or intermediary between State institutions and personnel in
matters relating to all religious
programs; to assist in preserving the standards and procedures not in
effect; and improve
situations where needed, and to keep equality of programs, rights and
privileges of all
faiths in the future.

Articles found in the Christian Science periodicals (i.e. Monitor,
Sentinel, Journal and Herald) have proven helpful to inmates and staff
in handling various problems such as:
abuse, addiction, gang violence, crime, marital relations and family
separation, AIDS,
physical or mental illness, etc. Family members or friends of those
confined in
institutions may visit a Christian Science Reading Room to read or
purchase these periodicals.

Also, there is a Radio Edition of the Christian Science Sentinel.
Christian Science churches in Northern California provide a radio
broadcast of this half hour program Sunday
mornings at 6:30am on KNEW (AM 910) and at 7:30am on KSTE (AM 650).
Tune in each Sunday
morning to hear how many today are successfully using prayer to heal
relationships, restore health, and overcome sin. These programs can
also be heard on
KSTE (AM 1450) Mondays at 6:00am and again on Thursdays at 10:00am.
